cluttered thoughts

let's dance around the mess we've made

alrightyyyy

so i absolutely suck at this whole keeping up with my tumbler thing. my march resolution is to start posting more awesome.

ok jess, if i dont start posting more you have permission to harass me until i remember to. haha ok thanks :)

Hell yeah.

I added the tumblr app to my droid soooooo hopefully I can remember to update more often :)

neglecting my tumblr.

My life has been a great big cluster(expletive) for the past couple of weeks so I have completely forgotten about my tumblr. Here are a few reasons why I have been non-existant:

  • I was told two weeks ago that my position at my job would no longer be available - they gave me 90 days to find a new job.
  • My free time was spent working on my resume, searching for jobs and brushing up on interview tips.
  • I interviewed and accepted another position within Gundersen Lutheran and have started the training process.
  • I was told I could do unlimited overtime for the position that let me go [ha, um yeah right…why would I want to help them out].
  • Erik is starting school - translation: Erik is starting school and I am going through a job change so the one car situation makes it a bunch more complicated; we are making it work though.

Anyways, as much as it sounds like I am just complaining about everything, I am happy to start this new job and can’t wait to make more money.

Moral of the story is that I’ll be back on tumblr because it is my guilty pleasure. Or it is just fun.  Also, stumbleupon.com is so fabulous. It is a great way to productively waste your time - there are so many awesome websites and random info out there :) I love it!!!!

Until next time my loves <3

a haiku

tide-to-go pen love.
stains vanish before your eyes,
great for clumsy me.

Today at work I spilled some of my delicious McDonald’s Cinnamon Melts sauce on my blouse. Luckily I just bought a new Tide-To-Go Pen and the greasy, sugary icing drip didn’t stand a chance at staining my coral colored top. It definitely helped my morning stay happy :)

Yesterday is gone, so don’t let your past define your future. Today is here and it’s all you have, so figure out who are, and be it. And tomorrow will worry about itself, so let it.

This is Franklin.  He LOVES cottage cheese.

living the cubicle life

Anyone that knows me would find the fact that I work in a secluded office job weird.  It normally wouldn’t be my cup of tea - however, I love it! I don’t particularly love the actual tasks I have to do at work, but they are manageable. I love the fact that I have my own space. I love having the stability. Most of all, I love the personal touches that I have put in my cubicle to make my day brighter.

I put some tissue paper flowers up along the top edge to brighten up the dullness of the grey.  I also have one of my arrangements of lovely fake flowers next to my screen.

Here is another one of my crafy creations of fake flowers - oh, and my lovely colorful stack of post-it notes :)

This is my wall of pictures.  There are quite a few of Erik :) Up on my shelf there are more of my crafts- more flower arrangements [Hobby Lobby had a great sale awhile back, haha] and a wreath that I put together out of a styrofoam mold, ribbon pieces and pins.

This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time.
